Forget Me Not

I drew this picture in honor of all those who lost their lives on Friday in Connecticut. 

It truly is such a heart breaking thing and my thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this tragedy! 

I named this picture "Forget Me Not" for the forget me not bouquet the little girl is holding.

Fashion through time

This collection of pictures have been in the works for quite a long time, but I finally finished! The one above is a close up of each girl and the one below is the full version. I really had a lot of fun researching each time periods fashion. And I want each outfit (especially the one from the 1950's). I'm hoping to one day sell this as a big print. Happy Birthday to me!

Today I am 24 years old! And so far it has a been an amazing day... I got breakfast in bed and I get the whole day off from Mommy duties (best gift ever!).

Farewell Summer

Just a little something to say farewell to summer. 

Even though its still pretty warm outside I'm officially in Fall mode.

So this is my goodbye to warm weather and hello to cold weather.

I got this idea from three little girls who always walk around our apartment complex in dress up clothes.

This was drawn right before Valentines day and it's all part of the catch up tracing I'm doing with my now full sketch (which is a first for me, to fill a whole sketch book).

Lemonade

When life hands you lemons make lemonade.

I got the idea for this picture from a radio host who was saying how she wanted to get a shirt that said "Life" and then go out and hand people lemons. I instantly saw this little ginger girl :)

Well right now I am going through my now full sketch book and tracing what I haven't traced yet so I can color them so there are more to come!

Welcome Fall!

I am so excited that fall is here! I am a fan of the cold weather, and with cold weather comes cute  sweaters, boots, and scarves (and more modest clothes for other girls). And changing leaves! I'm thinking this will make a cute card and it would also be cute on wood to hang on the wall, we'll see what happens :).

Well still trying to find a place to print my cards! I think I have a place but I'm having trouble getting anything worked out with them so we'll see. I'm also hoping to get stuff printed so I can go to a craft fair here in Logan. (fingers crossed)

I am playing around with drawing characters from tv and movies with my design. 

I thought this turned out really cute :) This is one of my favorite shows!

Baby shower invite design

I designed this baby shower invitation for my aunt :) She is having a little girl and I am so excited for P to have another little (second) cousin thats around her age to play with (her second cousins will probably be closer in age than her actual cousins so we'll just call them cousins). Anyways- they suggested that ravens be included and my mom gave me the idea of having the birds around the brightly colored gifts. So ravens  can even be used on a baby shower invite, who knew right?

Welcome to Paisley Lane Design. Currently I am working on getting greeting cards printed and ready to be sold. I also have baby hats that I make that are now on etsy.com (click here to preview). A little about Paisley Lane Design.... I started this company as part of an assignment for school and after I had finished the project I really thought that it could actually do pretty well.
