#365DRAWING: 5 1853

I got the idea for this drawing when I was looking threw an American Girl catalogue. There's a new doll (well new for me) from 1853 and I kind of patterned her after that doll. I love the dress and the boots, sometimes I wish I could dress like this (without all of the weird looks). In the future I am going to retrace this one so its a bit nicer but this is what I did quickly today :)

Here's a quick sketch I did today. I have found I am so much looser (and faster) at drawing when I use a ball point pen so I've been experimenting with that and so far I like what's come from it. This picture just makes me smile!

Day 2 of the challenge.

I would love if it was warm out, I getting a little sick of being cooped up inside and Miss P is sick of being inside all the time too. I do like the snow but I am ready for warmer weather this year!

I have decided to try my hand at doing and posting one drawing a day. I got the idea from Sarah Jane studios blog. I am going to do my best to finish this challenge, and by February 1st next year I will have 365 pictures which is really kind of exciting :).

Forget Me Not

I drew this picture in honor of all those who lost their lives on Friday in Connecticut. 

It truly is such a heart breaking thing and my thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this tragedy! 

I named this picture "Forget Me Not" for the forget me not bouquet the little girl is holding.
